Llama Paper Plate Craft

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Gather your supplies, including a paper plate, paints, pom-poms, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, scissors, cardstock, glue, and a black marker.

Step 2: Paint the Saddle

Paint rainbow-colored arches on half of the paper plate to create the llama’s saddle. Let the paint dry completely.

Step 3: Cut the Plate in Half

Cut the painted plate in half, then set aside one half to use as the llama’s decorated body.

Step 4: Add Pom Poms

Glue colorful pom-poms along the curved edge of the saddle for extra decoration.

Step 5: Draw the Llama Head

Draw a llama head shape on white cardstock.

Step 6: Cut Out the Head

Carefully cut out the head with scissors.

Step 7: Decorate the Face

Add details to the head by gluing on a googly eye, painting pink cheeks and inner ears, and drawing a nose and mouth with a marker.

Step 8: Wrap the Neck

Wrap a purple pipe cleaner around the llama’s neck.

Step 9: Add Pom Pom Ornaments

Glue small pom-poms onto the pipe cleaner like festive ornaments.

Step 10: Add the Legs

Cut and paint four craft sticks white, then glue them to the bottom of the paper plate to form the llama’s legs.

Step 11: Attach the Head

Attach the llama head to the top side of the paper plate using glue.

Step 12: Add the Tail and Face Details

Glue a fluffy white pom-pom to the back of the plate for the tail.

Use a black marker to draw the facial details on the llama’s head.

Step 13: Draw the Hooves

Draw hooves on the bottom of the craft sticks with the black marker.
