Paper Plate Ladybug Craft

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Start by gathering all of your supplies so everything is ready to go before you begin.

Step 2: Paint the Plate Red

Paint the majority of the paper plate with red acrylic paint and set it aside to dry completely.

Step 3: Paint the Head

Once the red paint has dried, use black paint to cover the top portion of the plate, creating the ladybug’s head.

Step 4: Paint the Wing Line

Paint a black vertical line down the center of the red area to divide the wings.

Step 5: Add Cheeks and Eyes

Use a sponge dabber dipped in pink paint to add two round cheeks just under where the eyes will go.

Glue two large googly eyes above the pink cheeks.

Step 6: Add the Spots

Add black pom-poms across the red section of the plate to create the ladybug’s spots.

Step 7: Make the Antennae

Cut a black pipe cleaner in half and curl the ends to form the antennae.

Step 8: Attach the Antennae

Glue the pipe cleaners to the back of the plate so they stick up from the top of the head.
