How to Make a Paper Plate Witch Craft

This paper plate witch craft comes together with painting, cutting, and gluing. Follow the steps below to create your spooky cute Halloween witch.

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Gather all the supplies for this paper plate witch craft. Having everything ready before you begin makes the process easy and fun.

A white paper plate, green acrylic paint, a paintbrush, googly eyes, black, orange, green, and purple paper, a hot glue gun, orange-handled scissors, and a black marker arranged on a light wood surface.

Step 2: Paint the Paper Plate

Basecoat the inside of the paper plate with bright green acrylic craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat if necessary.

Step 3: Trace the Pattern Pieces

Download and print the witch patterns, then cut out with scissors. Trace the hair onto orange cardstock, the hat onto black cardstock, the hat buckle onto yellow cardstock, the hat band onto purple cardstock, and the nose onto bright green cardstock. You could also use colored craft foam or craft felt.

Step 4: Cut Out All Pieces

Cut out all the traced pattern pieces with scissors, making sure to cut inside the lines for a clean, finished look.

Cut paper pieces including a black triangular shape, black strip, purple strip, yellow square frame, two large orange jagged shapes, and a green curved shape, with orange-handled scissors above them.

Step 5: Attach the Hair

Attach the two hair pieces along the edge of the paper plate on either side, making sure they meet in the middle at the bottom. TIP: Liquid craft glue also works — just allow extra drying time.

Step 6: Add the Nose and Eyes

Outline the witch's nose with a black marker and add a wart. Attach the bright green nose and two wiggle eyes to the witch's face with a glue gun.
