Santa Paper Plate Craft
Make a jolly Santa paper plate craft with kids using paint, cotton balls, googly eyes, and construction paper. A festive Christmas activity perfect for classrooms or holiday fun at home.
Materials
- Paper plate
- Acrylic paint in peach and red
- White, black, yellow, and red construction paper
- Googly eyes
- Cotton balls
- Glue gun or school glue
- Black marker
Tools
- Paintbrush
- Sponge dauber
- Scissors
Instructions
- Gather your supplies including a paper plate, paint, construction paper, googly eyes, cotton balls, scissors, glue, and markers.
- Cut the paper plate in half to form the base of Santa’s face and beard.
- Paint a peach circle in the center top area of the plate for Santa’s face and let it dry.
- On red construction paper, draw and cut out a large triangle for Santa’s hat, along with a yellow belt buckle, black belt strip, and a white mustache.
- Glue googly eyes onto the peach circle and then glue the white mustache under the eyes.
- Glue the black strip across the red triangle and place the yellow buckle in the center to complete Santa’s belt.
- Attach the red triangle to the top of the paper plate to form Santa’s hat.
- Glue cotton balls along the bottom of the red triangle to create the hat trim.
- Add a cotton ball pom-pom to the tip of the hat.
- Decorate Santa’s beard with swirls of glitter glue to give it a festive sparkle.
- Once everything is dry, your Santa paper plate craft is ready to display.
