How to Make a Paper Plate Beaver Craft
With supplies in hand, here's how this one takes shape.
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Get your supplies together first, especially anything that needs to dry, so you're not waiting around later.
Step 2: Paint the Plate
Paint the outside of the plate brown and let it dry.
Step 3: Trace the Face Pieces
Print the patterns, then trace a nose onto black cardstock, a muzzle onto light brown, teeth onto white, two outer ears onto dark brown, and two inner ears onto pink.
Step 4: Cut Out the Face Pieces
Cut out every traced piece so the nose, muzzle, teeth, and ears are ready to assemble.
Step 5: Attach the Muzzle, Ears, and Eyes
Glue the nose and teeth onto the muzzle, then glue the whole muzzle onto the plate. The teeth are what make this one instantly recognizable, so keep them front and center.
Glue the inner ears to the outer ears and attach them to the top of the head.
Add the wiggle eyes above the muzzle.
Step 6: Add the Final Details
Finish with a black marker: small circles across the muzzle for texture, and a line down the center of the teeth.
All done!
Then hang your finished beaver up on display!
We'd love to see yours! Snap a photo and share it in the comments.
