How to Make a Frog Paper Plate Craft
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Gather your supplies, including a paper plate, paints, construction paper, googly eyes, marker, scissors, glue, and a sponge dabber.
Step 2: Paint the Plate Green
Paint the entire paper plate with green acrylic paint and let it dry completely.
Step 3: Trace the Circles
Use a pencil and a round template to trace several circles onto green construction paper.
Step 4: Cut Out the Circles
Cut out the green circles carefully with scissors.
Step 5: Make the Spots
Make several small and medium-sized green circles to use as spots for your frog.
Step 6: Add the Eyes
Glue two large green circles to the top edge of the paper plate and attach large googly eyes on top to create the frog’s eyes.
Step 7: Add the Spots
Glue the smaller green circles along each side of the frog’s face to look like spots.
Step 8: Add Rosy Cheeks
Use pink paint and a sponge dabber to add round rosy cheeks just below the eyes.
Step 9: Draw the Nose and Smile
Draw two small black dots in the center of the plate for the frog’s nose, then draw a big smiling mouth with a black marker.
Step 10: Draw the Tongue
Draw and cut out a long tongue shape from pink construction paper.
Step 11: Trim the Tongue
Trim the tongue, rounding one end to make it look more realistic.
Step 12: Curl the Tongue
Wrap the pink tongue strip around a pencil to curl it, then slide it off.
Step 13: Attach the Tongue
Glue the curled tongue to the bottom center of the frog’s mouth.
All done!
Let everything dry, and your frog is ready to hop into action!
