Paper Plate Crow Craft for Kids
Crows get a bad reputation, but this paper plate crow craft is actually pretty handsome once it's got a golden beak and talons to offset all that black. A nice pick for a fall scarecrow-and-crow scene on the wall.

How to Make a Paper Plate Crow Craft
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Get everything from the list above within arm's reach before you dive in.
Step 2: Paint the Plate
Paint the outside of the plate black and let it dry.
Step 3: Trace the Body
Print the patterns and trace the crow’s body onto the plate.
Step 4: Cut the Body
Cut out the body.
Step 5: Trace the Pieces
Trace two talons and a beak onto golden yellow cardstock, and two legs, tail feathers and a wing onto black cardstock.
Step 6: Cut the Pieces
Cut out all of the pieces.
Step 7: Attach the Legs and Tail
Glue the legs to the bottom of the body and the tail feathers to the back.
Step 8: Add Shine with White Marker
Use the white paint marker to loosely outline the body and wing for a little shine. This is the step that keeps it from looking like a flat black blob, so don't skip it even though it's easy to forget.
Step 9: Outline the Beak and Talons
Outline the beak and talons with the black marker and add detail lines.
Step 10: Attach the Eye and Beak
Glue the wiggle eye and beak to the face.
Step 11: Attach the Talons and Wing
Attach the talons to the back of the legs, and glue the wing to the center of the body.
Step 12: Stamp On a Cheek
Stamp a pink cheek under the eye with the sponge dabber.
All done!
