How to Make a Paper Plate Crab Craft

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Gather your supplies and clear a workspace, this is a good one to do over a wipeable table or some newspaper.
Step 2: Paint the Plate
Paint the outside of the plate red and let it dry.

Step 3: Cut the Body
Print the patterns, trace the crab body onto the plate, and cut it out.

Step 4: Cut the Claws, Eyes, and Legs
Trace and cut two claws, two eye stalks, and two sets of legs, all from red cardstock.

Step 5: Add the Eyes
Glue a wiggle eye onto the round tip of each eye stalk.

Step 6: Attach the Claws and Eye Stalks
Glue a claw to the top right and top left of the body, then glue the two eye stalks to the top center.

Step 7: Attach the Legs
Attach three legs to each side of the body, this is the step with the most pieces, so it's a good one to let a kid line up themselves.

Step 8: Stamp On Cheeks
Stamp pink cheeks below the eyes with the sponge dabber and let dry.

Step 9: Draw the Smile
Finish with a marker smile from cheek to cheek.
All done!
