How to Make a Paper Plate Clown Fish Craft
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Lay out everything from the list above ahead of time, it makes the actual crafting go a lot smoother.
Step 2: Paint the Plate
Paint the outside of the plate orange and let it dry.
Step 3: Paint the White Stripes
Print the patterns and trace the two body stripes onto the plate, then paint just those stripe shapes white and let dry.
Step 4: Cut the Fins
Trace and cut a tail fin, dorsal fin, pectoral fin, and two ventral fins from orange cardstock, plus a tail stripe from white cardstock.
Step 5: Outline the Body Stripes
Outline the two painted body stripes with the black marker.
Step 6: Detail the Fins
Glue the white stripe onto the orange tail fin, then outline the edges and add detail lines to every fin with the marker.
Step 7: Attach the Fins
Glue the pectoral fin to the center of the body, the tail to the back, the dorsal fin to the top, and the two ventral fins to the bottom.
Step 8: Add the Eye
Add the wiggle eye to the head.
Step 9: Stamp On a Cheek
Stamp a pink cheek under the eye with the sponge dabber and let dry.
Step 10: Draw the Smile
Finish with a marker smile.
All done!
