Lobster Handprint Craft
Snip, snap, snip! This adorable lobster handprint craft is the perfect ocean-themed activity for kids. Great for practicing scissor skills and creating crustacean cuteness!
Materials
- Red construction paper
- Black construction paper
- White construction paper
- Glue stick
- Black marker
- Pencil
Tools
- Scissors
Instructions
- Gather your supplies. Lay out your red, black, and white construction paper, glue stick, scissors, and markers.
- From the red paper, cut out the lobster’s segmented body, tail, two claws, and one handprint. From the white paper, cut two circles for the eyes.
- Glue the handprint onto the top of the segmented body shape to form the lobster’s torso and head.
- Glue the two claws to the outer fingers of the handprint, one on each side.
- Glue the two white circles on top of the middle fingers to give your lobster big buggy eyes.
- Use the black marker to draw pupils in the center of the white circles.
- Use the black marker to outline and add lines to the claws, body segments, and tail.
- From red paper, cut six narrow strips. These will be the lobster's legs.
- Give each leg a fun, zigzag bend to make them look like they're moving.
- Attach the strips, three on each side, to the back of the body behind the handprint.
- Use a black marker to add any desired finishing touches and then hang your finished lobster handprint up on display!
