How to Make a Popsicle Stick Octopus
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Gather all your supplies.
Step 2: Make an X
Glue two popsicle sticks into an “X” shape.
Step 3: Finish the Star Shape
Glue another two sticks across to form an 8-legged star shape. Let dry.
Step 4: Paint the Sticks Purple
Paint all the popsicle sticks purple and set aside to dry.
Step 5: Trace the Head
Trace a circle onto purple felt for the octopus head.
Step 6: Cut Out the Head
Cut out the felt circle.
Step 7: Add the Head, Eyes, and Cheeks
Cut two small circles from pink felt for cheeks.
Glue the purple felt circle in the center of the popsicle sticks.
Glue on two googly eyes near the top of the felt circle.
Add the pink cheeks under the eyes.
Step 8: Decorate the Legs
Decorate the legs with pearls, buttons, or glitter glue for fun details.
Step 9: Draw the Smile
Use a black marker to draw a big smile.
All done!
Let everything dry completely before displaying your octopus!
