How to Make a Paper Plate Lobster Craft

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Get everything from the list above within arm's reach before you dive in.

Step 2: Paint the Plate
Paint the outside of the plate red and let it dry, adding a second coat if needed.

Step 3: Cut the Body
Print the lobster patterns, trace the body shape onto the plate, and cut it out.

Step 4: Cut the Claws and Legs
Trace and cut two claws from the leftover plate scraps, and two sets of legs from red cardstock. Cutting the claws from the leftover plate pieces saves cardstock and gives them a curved edge that matches the body.

Step 5: Outline the Pieces
Outline the body, claws, and legs with the black marker for definition.

Step 6: Attach the Claws and Legs
Glue the claws to the top corners of the body, and attach the legs to the sides.

Step 7: Add the Eyes
Add the wiggle eyes to the face.

Step 8: Add the Antenna
Bend the chenille stem in half and curve the ends slightly, then glue it to the back top of the lobster's head as the antenna.

Step 9: Stamp On Cheeks
Dab pink paint onto the sponge and stamp cheeks on either side of the face, then let dry.

Step 10: Draw the Smile
Finish with a black marker smile from cheek to cheek.
All done!
