How to Make a Walrus Handprint Craft
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Gather your supplies! You’ll need brown, white, and black construction paper, scissors, glue, a pencil, and a marker.
Step 2: Cut Out the Pieces
Trace and cut out your child’s hand on brown paper. This will become the walrus’s head and flippers.
Cut two white circles for the eyes, a black oval for the nose, two brown ovals for the cheeks, and two white tusks.
Step 3: Glue On the Eyes
Glue the white eyes onto the top of the brown handprint.
Step 4: Draw the Pupils
Use a black marker to draw black pupils in the center of the white eyes.
Step 5: Assemble the Cheeks and Tusks
Assemble the cheeks and tusks by gluing the tusks behind the cheeks and then attaching the whole piece together.
Step 6: Add the Nose
Place the black nose at the top center of the cheeks.
Step 7: Attach the Face
Glue the assembled cheeks and tusks onto the handprint just below the eyes.
Step 8: Add Dots and Whiskers
Use a black marker to draw dots and whiskers on the cheeks to bring your walrus to life.
