Ways to Extend the Rainbow Joy
This isn’t just a craft, it’s a whole colorful adventure waiting to happen:
1. Weather unit tie-in: Use this craft as part of a lesson on rainbows, clouds, and the science of how light bends. (Sneaky science = the best kind.)
2. Color sorting fun: Paint a bunch of extra sticks and let kids sort by color, or create their own color patterns.
3. Feelings check-in: Have kids draw different faces on their clouds to express emotions. Happy cloud, sleepy cloud, sassy cloud—you name it.
4. Gift it: Rainbows make great surprises. Let your kids gift their rainbow to a friend, teacher, or grandparent for a little unexpected joy.
