Strawberry Craft Stick Project
Make these adorable craft stick strawberries with kids! A bright and easy summer craft using felt, paint, and googly eyes. Perfect for displays or pretend play!
Materials
- Jumbo craft sticks
- Googly eyes
- Red acrylic paint
- Pink acrylic paint
- Black acrylic paint
- Green craft felt
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Black marker
- Pencil
Tools
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
Instructions
- Gather your supplies.
- Lay three craft sticks in a triangle shape to form the strawberry body. Glue the corners to hold the triangle together.
- Dry-fit extra craft sticks across the triangle’s back to fill in the open space. Mark them with a pencil so you know where to trim.
- Trim the ends and glue the pieces across the back to create a solid base. You now have a sturdy wooden strawberry canvas.
- Paint the whole front red. Let it dry completely, then add a second coat for extra juiciness.
- Print and cut your leaf pattern. Trace it onto green felt and cut out those leafy tops.
- Glue the felt leaves to the top of your strawberry. Then add two big googly eyes, because no fruit is truly complete without an adorable stare.
- Dab a clean pencil eraser into pink paint and stamp cheeks onto your strawberry. You’re now officially entering kawaii territory.
- Use a black marker to draw a sweet little smile from cheek to cheek. Feel free to give them a bit of sass or smirk.
- Dip the end of a paintbrush handle into black paint and dot on your seeds.
- Let everything dry before showing off your berry best creation.
