Step by Step Bear Popsicle Stick Craft Instructions
This craft is built in layers, so letting glue dry between steps helps keep everything lined up and secure.
Step 1: Gather your supplies
Lay out all materials on a flat work surface. Make sure the craft sticks are clean and dry before starting.
Step 2: Paint the craft sticks
Paint four jumbo craft sticks brown. Set them aside and allow the paint to dry completely.
Step 3: Build the craft stick base
Line the painted craft sticks up side by side to form a rectangle. Glue them together and let the base dry.
Step 4: Cut the paper pieces
From brown and tan cardstock, cut layered ear shapes. Cut a large tan oval for the muzzle area, smaller tan ovals for cheeks and paws, white circles for the eyes, and a small black oval for the nose.
Step 5: Attach the ears
Layer the ear pieces and glue them together.
Glue the layered ear pieces to the top of the craft stick base so they peek out above the sticks.
Step 6: Add the face base
Glue the white eye circles onto the upper center of the bear. Attach the large tan oval below the eyes to form the muzzle area.
Step 7: Add the paws
Glue four small tan oval shapes near the top and the bottom of the bear to create the paws.
Step 8: Glue the nose on
Glue the black oval nose near the top center of the muzzle area.
Step 9: Use a black marker to design the eyes
Use the black marker to draw the eye details on the white circles.
Step 10: Display
Once everything is fully dry, display the bear popsicle stick craft on a bulletin board, wall, or shelf, or add it to an animal-themed display.
