How to Make a Dragonfly Paper Plate Craft
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Gather your supplies: a paper plate, craft stick, googly eyes, paint, pipe cleaners, pom poms, a marker, scissors, and glue.
Step 2: Paint the Plate
Paint the paper plate your chosen wing color (light blue shown). Let it dry completely.
Step 3: Cut the Wings
Cut the plate into four equal sections, trimming into wing shapes.
Step 4: Outline the Wings
Outline the wings with a black marker to add details and patterns.
Step 5: Glue the Wings Together
Glue two wings together for one side, and repeat with the other two.
Step 6: Paint the Craft Stick
Paint the craft stick purple (or another body color) and let it dry.
Step 7: Add the Eyes and Antennae
Add googly eyes to the craft stick, then bend and glue pipe cleaners with pom poms on top for antennae.
Step 8: Attach the Wings
Attach the wings to the back of the craft stick with glue.
Step 9: Draw the Smile
Use a marker to draw a little smile on your dragonfly’s face.
All done!
Let it dry before displaying your dragonfly!
