Materials Needed for Love Bug Craft
Step-by-Step Instructions for Making a Love Bug Craft
Step 1: Cut the Brace Stick
Gather 5 craft sticks, pink and sparkly pink paper, pink and red pipe cleaners, googly eyes, pink paint, glue, scissors, and markers.
Cut one craft stick in half and lay the other 4 sticks side by side.
Step 2: Brace the Body
Glue one half across the top and the other half across the bottom to hold the body together.
Step 3: Paint the Body
Flip the sticks over and paint the front pink.
Step 4: Let the Paint Dry
Let the paint dry completely.
Step 5: Trace the Wings
Trace two “B”-shaped wings on pink paper.
Step 6: Cut the Wings
Cut out the wings.
Step 7: Cut the Circles
Cut 4 small circles from sparkly pink paper.
Step 8: Decorate the Wings
Glue a circle onto each curve of the wings.
Step 9: Attach the Wings
Glue the wings to the back of the body, one on each side.
Step 10: Add the Eyes
Glue two googly eyes near the top of the body.
Step 11: Draw the Face
Use markers to draw a smile and any other face details.
Step 12: Add the Antennae
Twist a red and a pink pipe cleaner together, cut them in half, curl each half, and glue them to the top of the head for antennae.
All done!
