How to Make the Paper Plate Horse Craft

Step 1: Gather your supplies
Begin by gathering up everything you need.

Step 2: Print the template
Don’t forget to print out your horse’s face shapes, you can find it above this recipe!

Step 3: Paint the plate
Paint the whole paper plate with your brown paint.
Add some white and brown together until you get a lighter shade you like, and then use that to paint the bottom of your horse’s face. This will be it’s nose and mouth. You can see in this picture how you’d like it to look.

Step 4: Cut out the face shapes
Set this aside to dry, and start grab your printed off horse face shapes, and cut them out of the colors explained in the template I provided you.

Step 5: Paint the ears
Paint the cardboard ears the same brown as your horse’s face, and add a smaller triangle in the lighter color you mixed, this will create the ears.

Step 6: Add the face pieces
Once they’re all cut out and painted, you want to add them to the face. Make sure the paint has dried completely before you begin this step. I used double sided tape here, but glue works better!
All done!
Add the ears once the paint dries completely, and your paper plate horse is finished.

We'd love to see yours! Snap a photo and share it in the comments.
