How to Make a Christmas Stockings Paper Plate Craft
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Gather your supplies, including paper plates, red and green paint, white paint, pink paint, brushes, sponge dauber, scissors, glue, googly eyes, black marker, and a piece of white paper.
Step 2: Paint the Plates
Start by painting an entire paper plate red and set it aside to dry. For a second stocking, repeat the same step with green paint.
Step 3: Trace the Stockings
Once the plates are dry, place your stocking template on top and trace around it with a pencil.
Step 4: Cut Out the Stockings
Carefully cut out the stocking shapes.
Step 5: Paint the Heel, Toe, and Cuff
Paint the heel, toe, and top edge of each stocking white to mimic the look of fabric.
Step 6: Add the Eyes
Glue two googly eyes onto the front of each stocking to bring them to life.
Step 7: Add Rosy Cheeks
Use the sponge dauber to dab on two pink circles under the eyes for rosy cheeks.
Step 8: Draw the Stocking Tops
On white paper, draw fluffy stocking tops.
Step 9: Cut Out the Tops
Cut out the stocking tops.
Step 10: Glue On the Tops
Glue a top onto each stocking.
Step 11: Draw the Details
With a black marker, draw a smiling mouth and add stitching details around the heel, toe, and cuff to finish the look.
All done!
Let everything dry completely, then display your stockings with your holiday decorations!
