How to Make This Paper Plate Donkey Craft with Preschoolers
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Gather your supplies.
Step 2: Paint the Face Gray
Mix black and titanium white paint to make gray, then paint the face of your donkey.
Step 3: Cut Out the Template Pieces
Print and cut out the template provided, then trace the pieces onto the matching papers and cut them out.
Step 4: Paint the Ears
Paint the ears with a mix of white and black paint.
Step 5: Paint the Tuft of Hair
Paint the tuft of hair a slightly darker gray.
Step 6: Make the Eyes
Color the two small white circles with a pen, leaving a small white dot in each, then glue them onto the two bigger white circles to make the eyes.
Step 7: Add the Inner Ears
Glue the pink paper onto the ears as an inner layer.
Step 8: Add the Face Pieces
Once the paint is completely dry, add the muzzle, eyes, nose and hair to the plate.
Step 9: Attach the Ears
Glue the ears to the back of the plate at the top of the head.
Step 10: Draw the Mouth
Finish off your donkey by drawing a small curved mouth with a black pen.
All done!
Then hang your donkey paper plate craft up for all to see!
