3D Paper Snowman Craft Tutorial for Preschoolers

Inside: 3D Paper Snowman Craft for Preschoolers Learn how to make a seriously adorable little three dimensional snowman out of things you have around the house right now.
It's finally beginning to feel a lot like winter, and I am HERE FOR IT.
As the temperatures start to drop and the snow starts to fall up north, what better way to get into the winter spirit than by making this cute 3D paper snowman?
It's an easy and fun project perfect for kids of all ages, and a great way to recycle used printer paper you have laying around the house. Grab your glue, scissors, and fuzzy wires, and let's get started!
My kids loved putting their own unique spin on these, and I loved seeing what they could create. These are perfect preschool classroom crafts, or if you stay home with your little, this one is a great craft to add to your winter decorations. We ended up putting this on my daughter's windowsill.

How to Make the 3D Paper Snowman Craft

Step 1: Cut white strips
Cut white construction paper into strips.

Step 2: Make a sunburst
Spread the strips out in a circle so they meet in the middle and spread out like a sunburst. Stick them together with double sided tape or glue.

Step 3: Form the snowballs
Gather the ends of the strips together to form a snowball. Repeat to make a smaller one, then attach the small snowball on top of the big one.

Step 4: Cut the hat and buttons
From black paper, cut three small circles for buttons, one big circle for the hat brim and a rectangle for the top of the hat.

Step 5: Make the nose and hat
Roll a small orange rectangle into a cone for the nose and secure it with glue or tape. Roll the black rectangle into a tube that fits the brim, snip about half an inch up the bottom and fold the pieces in to attach the brim.

Step 6: Add the face and hat
Attach the hat to the smaller snowball, then add the orange nose, googly eyes and the buttons down the front.
All done!
Twist fuzzy wires together into little three-pronged branches for arms, and your 3D paper snowman is ready.

We'd love to see yours! Snap a photo and share it in the comments.
