Step 1: Count the pictures
On the count the pictures page, kids count how many times each Christmas image appears and write the totals on the lines below.
Step 2: Build the graph
Kids color or mark boxes on the blank graphing mat to make a bar graph of their totals.
Step 3: Use the number guide
For kids still learning to organize their results, the number model graph mat has faint number guides from 1 to 10.
Step 4: Talk about it
Ask questions like: Which group has the most? Which one has the fewest? Are any the same?
