Fireworks Handprint Craft
Celebrate Independence Day with this fun and festive Fourth of July handprint craft! Using red, white, and blue paper, kids create a firework-style handprint bursting with patriotic pride.
Materials
- Red construction paper
- Blue construction paper
- White construction paper
- Glue stick
- Red marker
- Blue marker
- Pencil
Tools
- Scissors
Instructions
- Gather your supplies. You’ll need red, white, and blue construction paper, scissors, a glue stick, and red and blue markers.
- Choose a color for your handprint and trace your child’s hand onto the paper.
- Cut out the handprint carefully.
- Cut the red, white, and blue paper into thin strips. These will be your “firework” rays.
- Start gluing strips around the handprint in alternating colors, like rays bursting out from the center.
- Continue layering more strips behind and around the handprint until you have a full firework effect.
- Trace and cut out a white handprint.
- Glue the white handprint on top of the strips so it looks like it’s at the center of the explosion.
- Use red and blue markers to add small dots or star-like marks on the handprint.
- That’s it! Your festive firework handprint is ready to decorate for the Fourth!
