Penguin Handprint Craft
Let’s be honest: winter crafts are fun, but cleaning up glitter from the grout? Not so much. That’s where this little waddly friend slides in to save the day. This penguin handprint craft is cute, quick, and completely mess-free. No paint. No glitter explosions. Just you, your kiddo, some paper, and a whole lot of charm.
It’s the kind of project you can pull out during a snow day, after a chilly walk, or on one of those afternoons when everyone’s one snack away from a meltdown. Bonus? It secretly builds scissor skills and hand-eye coordination while your kid thinks they’re just making a funny little bird with flippers.
Let’s do this.

Extend the Fun
Once you’ve made one penguin, it’s kind of hard to stop. Suddenly you’ve got a whole colony forming across the table, each one slightly wonky in the best way possible.
This is the perfect time to sneak in a little learning, too. Pull up a few fun penguin facts (“Did you know daddy penguins keep the eggs warm?”) or read a book like Tacky the Penguin or Penguin Problems. Or, if you're feeling extra cozy, throw on some fuzzy socks and waddle around the living room for full penguin immersion.
Craft + laughs + winter vibes = parenting win.
