Moose Paper Plate Craft
If your kids love crafts that go big on goofy personality, this moose paper plate craft is going to be an instant crowd-pleaser. Something about those giant googly eyes and the handprint antlers just hits the “adorably ridiculous” sweet spot that little makers cannot resist.
We made ours on a snowy afternoon, and the second those handprint antlers went on, my kid declared him “the silliest forest friend ever” and proceeded to make him stomp around the table like a moose on a mission. Between the tracing, cutting, painting, and gluing, it turned into one of those sneaky fine-motor workouts that feels more like play than practice.
If you’re looking for an easy, winter-themed craft that shows off tiny handprints and produces a fridge-worthy masterpiece, this moose is ready to move in. Let’s make one!

What We Loved About This Moose Paper Plate Craft
This paper plate moose craft for kids had us laughing from the very first glue stick swipe. There’s just something magical about letting kiddos use their own handprints as antlers…suddenly they’re all in, measuring their hands, comparing finger sizes, and proudly announcing, “These are my MOOSE antlers!”
And while they think they’re just making a goofy moose face, they’re actually getting solid practice with scissor skills, direction-following, and organizing all the little craft pieces…which, let’s be honest, feels like a tiny miracle on days when focus is in short supply.
Also: the wiggle eyes. They turn every paper plate moose into pure comedy gold.
