How to Make a Paper Plate Sheep Craft

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Gather all the supplies for this paper plate sheep craft. Having everything ready before you begin makes the process smooth and easy.
Step 2: Cover the Plate with Cotton Balls
Starting along the outer edge of the paper plate, attach cotton balls with a glue gun and glue sticks. Work in rows toward the center until the plate is fully covered.
TIP: Liquid craft glue also works — just allow extra drying time.

Step 3: Trace the Pattern Pieces
Download and print the sheep patterns. Trace the head once and the legs twice onto black cardstock with a pencil. You could also use colored craft foam or craft felt.

Step 4: Cut Out All Pieces
Cut out all the traced pattern pieces with scissors, making sure to cut inside the lines for a clean, finished look.

Step 5: Add the Eyes to the Head
Attach two wiggle eyes to the sheep's head with a glue gun.
Step 6: Add the Nose and Mouth
Draw a nose and mouth on the sheep's head using a white paint pen.

Step 7: Add the Cheeks
Create rosy cheeks by dipping a sponge dauber into pink acrylic craft paint and stamping on either side of the sheep's nose.

Step 8: Assemble the Sheep
Attach the head to the top of the fluffy cotton ball body and glue the legs to the bottom back of the sheep's body with a glue gun.
