- Gather your supplies. Have black, pink, orange, red, and white construction paper, along with scissors, glue, and a black marker ready.
- Create the penguin's body and arms. From the black construction paper, cut out one large oval for the body and two small ovals for the arms.
- Cut out the hearts. From the pink construction paper, cut two medium-sized hearts. Make one slightly smaller than the other.
From the orange construction paper, cut three small hearts—two the same size for feet and one slightly smaller for the beak. 
Finally, from the red construction paper, cut one small heart for the penguin to hold. 
- Assemble the penguin's body. Glue the two pink hearts onto the large black oval. Place the larger pink heart at the bottom to form the belly and the smaller pink heart at the top to form the face. They should slightly overlap.
- Attach the feet and beak. Glue the two larger orange hearts at the bottom of the black oval for the feet. Glue the smaller orange heart at the overlap of the pink hearts to create the beak.
