Paper Plate Goat Craft for Kids
This paper plate goat craft turns a couple of basic craft supplies into one seriously cute barnyard friend. The layered paper plates give the goat’s face and muzzle a little extra shape, while the floppy ears, curved horns, rosy cheeks, and oversized googly eyes bring the whole thing to life. It’s simple enough for kids to make, but has just enough detail to feel extra special when it’s finished.

How to Make a Paper Plate Goat Craft
Now the fun part, here's how it all fits together.
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
Round up everything from the list above before you sit down, it saves a trip mid-project.
Step 2: Paint the Plates
Paint the outside of one plate tan and the outside of a second plate ivory, letting both dry.
Step 3: Cut the Muzzle
Print the patterns and trace the nose and muzzle shape onto the ivory plate, then cut it out.
Step 4: Attach the Muzzle
Glue the ivory muzzle piece onto the tan head plate.
Step 5: Cut the Horns, Ears, and Tufts
Trace and cut two horns from gray cardstock, two outer ears and a hair tuft and chin tuft from tan cardstock, and two inner ears from pink cardstock.
Step 6: Fold the Ears
Glue the inner ears onto the outer ears, then draw a fold line across each ear with the marker. That single crease line is a small touch that makes the ears look a lot more finished.
Step 7: Attach the Ears, Eyes, and Tufts
Glue the ears to the top corners of the head, the wiggle eyes above the bridge of the nose, and the hair and chin tufts into place.
Step 8: Stamp On Cheeks
Stamp pink cheeks on the muzzle with the sponge dabber and let dry.
Step 9: Add the Final Details
Finish with a heart-shaped nose and a mouth drawn with the black marker.
And then hang your finished goat up on display!
