Make It Yours

Want a rainbow eagle? Go for it. Want to name him Edgar the Eagle and make up a whole story about his adventures rescuing lost baby birds and searching for the world’s fluffiest cloud to nap on? Please do. This is your eagle kingdom, we’re just living in it.

Extend the Fun (And the Learning)

You don’t have to stop at just “glue it and go.” This craft makes an awesome launchpad for learning. Here’s how:

  • Talk about real bald eagles and why they’re important. Kids LOVE learning animal facts, especially when the animal sounds fierce or flies.
  • Make it a storytelling prompt. What’s your eagle’s name? Where does it live? Does it have a favorite snack? (Spoiler: it might be peanut butter sandwiches.)
  • Turn it into a puppet! Tape it to a craft stick or straw and let your eagle “soar” around the living room, dive for fish, or deliver secret messages from the clouds.

Want to take the sky-high vibes even further? Pair this with a patriotic unit for the 4th of July, Memorial Day, or Veteran’s Day. Or go all in on the bird theme and create a whole “backyard bird” handprint collection with cardinals, robins, owls…and, of course, this majestic bald eagle leading the flock.

Keep the Craft Party Going

Once your eagle has landed (on the fridge, of course), check out our entire handprint craft collection for more keepsake-worthy creations. From safari animals to silly monsters, these handprint ideas let you turn tiny fingers into big fun.
