Keep the Learning (and Laughing) Going
This turkey isn’t just cute, it’s the gateway to all kinds of autumn fun:
1. Storytime sidekick: Pair it with a Thanksgiving read-aloud. Let the kids retell the story using their turkey craft as the main character.
2. Writing prompt: Ask kids to name their turkey and write (or dictate) what their turkey is thankful for this year.
3. Math boost: Have younger kids count the tail feathers or sort feathers by color before gluing.
4. Bulletin board fun: Make a whole flock! Have each student decorate their turkey slightly differently and display them around a “We Are Thankful” sign.
