How to Make a Leprechaun Legs Paper Plate Craft

Follow these simple steps to create your own festive St. Patrick’s Day decoration.

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Gather all supplies needed for the project and prepare your workspace so everything is within reach.

Step 2: Download and Print the Patterns

Download and print the Leprechaun Legs patterns. Cut out the pattern pieces with scissors. Trace the leprechaun hat onto the outside of a paper plate and cut it out with scissors.

Step 3: Paint the Hat

Basecoat the outside of the paper plate with medium green acrylic craft paint. Allow the paint to dry completely and apply a second coat if necessary for full coverage.

Cut out all patterns with scissors, making sure to cut inside the traced lines for a clean, finished project.

Step 6: Assemble the Legs

Attach the stripes and shoes to the legs using a glue gun and glue sticks, then attach the legs to the pants. Glue the buckle to the center of the hat band.

Tip: You can also use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will need to allow extra drying time.

Step 7: Add the Hat Band

Glue the hat band to the rounded edge of the hat base.

Step 8: Attach the Legs

Attach a jumbo craft stick to the back of each leprechaun leg using a glue gun and glue sticks. Glue the leprechaun legs to the top of the sticks.

Step 9: Attach the Details

To finish the craft, attach the hat band with buckle and the shamrock to the paper plate hat using a glue gun and glue sticks.
