What is a Growing Bundle?

Before we dive into the nitty-gritty of creating a growing bundle on TpT, let's clarify what exactly a growing bundle is.

A growing bundle is a collection of resources that allows buyers to purchase a bundle upfront at a discounted price and receive future updates or additions to the bundle for free.

It's an excellent way to attract customers and keep them coming back to your store.

Plan Your Bundle

Take some time to decide what you’d like to include in your bundle. You can spend time brainstorming a theme or topic.

Consider your niche and ideal audience. What resources will apply to them? What resources will be valuable to them?

Things like a full year bundle of a certain product work great, or a theme, like “ocean” or even a certain concept, like adding doubles.

Make a list of the individual products that will make up your bundle.

Create the Initial Bundle

Once you have a plan for your bundle, create it! Gather the resources you have in your store already, and package them together.

The magic of a growing bundle is you don’t have to have all of your products done before you upload it. You can continue to add to it as long as you'd like.

Set Up a New Product Listing

Creating a listing for your bundle is pretty simple with TpT’s bundling tool. You just have to click “add new resource” and choose “bundle”

You can add the products you already have into the bundle with the tool, it’s great! You can search your products right inside the tool.

To create a bundle, you need at least two products. If you only have one product so far, add a second product that will go into your bundle to your store before creating your bundle.

Make Sure Buyers Know it's a Growing Bundle

Growing bundles are an amazing marketing tool, but only if they KNOW it's a growing bundle. Make it super clear this is a growing bundle.

Some sellers add empty boxes to their shop image, along with a date of when each addition will be complete. Others put “growing bundle” in the name of the product.

Make it crystal clear this is a bundle that will become bigger in time. Mention it in your images, mention it in your description, put a slide on your preview about it.

When you do update your product to add in extras, put it in your note to buyers, so they know what you added and when. This is a great marketing tool!

How to Decide on Initial Price of the Growing Bundle

This is entirely up to you. You can make it the normal price of all the products put together, with a twenty percent discount.

OR — and this is the real money maker — give them a super deal. Make it the price of just two products at first, with that same discount. So it's a no brainer to grab this deal.

Then you'll have buyers coming back to your store several times, and you might even create a lifelong client.

You can raise the price each time you add more products, or keep the price low until you've completed it.
