Step-by-Step Instructions for a Unicorn Paper Plate Craft

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

Gather your supplies, including a paper plate, paints, construction paper, googly eyes, glue, scissors, and a marker.

Step 2: Paint the Snout

Paint the bottom half of the paper plate with pink paint to make the unicorn’s snout. Let it dry completely.

Step 3: Make the Ears

On white construction paper, draw and cut out two large unicorn ears. Cut smaller inner ear shapes from pink construction paper and glue them in place.

Step 4: Cut Out the Horn

On yellow construction paper, draw and cut out a unicorn horn.

Step 5: Draw the Horn Details

Use a black marker to add curved line details to the horn.

Step 6: Attach the Ears and Horn

Glue the ears and horn to the top of the paper plate.

Step 7: Cut the Rainbow Mane

Cut strips of rainbow-colored construction paper for the mane.

Step 8: Glue On the Mane

Glue the strips around the back of the plate to form the unicorn’s mane.

Step 9: Add Rosy Cheeks

Use pink paint and a sponge brush to dab two round cheeks onto the unicorn’s face.

Step 10: Add the Eyes, Nostrils, and Smile

Use a black marker to draw on eyes or glue on googly eyes.

Draw two oval nostrils and a smile on the snout with the black marker.

All done!

Add glitter glue to the horn or mane for extra sparkle if you like, then let everything dry and display your magical unicorn!
