The Official Guide To Affordable Essential Oils for Anxiety
Essential Oils are great for treating Social Anxiety Disorder. You can buy affordable essential oils with free two-day shipping from Amazon.
The first time I had an anxiety attack, I was the maid of honor at my friend's wedding and I was so excited to be going out with my future husband.
It didn't end well.
I spent that night sobbing, unable to catch my breath with swollen eyes and an achy body from crying so hard.
I pride myself on most on my intelligence. I'm open-minded and I love collecting little tidbits of knowledge from people.
I do remember a man asking me in the middle of a conversation:
Are you stupid?
I was horrified. I felt dizzy, ashamed, and hurt, all at once. I left as fast as I could.
All these fears I had held for years brimming to the surface. Does everyone think I'm stupid? Why do I bother even having an opinion?
My biggest fear. Right there.
This stranger doesn't even know me.
I'm so stupid.
My heart raced, I couldn't stop crying, and I couldn't calm down. It had been hours and I still felt so lost.
I felt so out of control of my own body and emotions, and so full of pain.
I didn't realize this was a classic anxiety attack until I did more research later. Looking back it makes perfect sense.
An anxiety attack.
I wish I had the ability to make it stop, and to regain my composure at the time, but I didn't have those tools yet.
Maybe you are suffering too, and looking for relief. Essential oils provide me that relief now.
Essential oils are so popular, but why?
Direct sales have boosted popularity. Perhaps because generations before us found it helpful and effective before commercial medications became so mainstream.
Living in a country of skeptics, it's raised a lot of questions. How can essential oils help with my Social Anxiety Disorder?
People who suffer from anxiety or panic attacks are often looking for ways to find relief from the attacks without turning to medications.
It's important for me to say here that if you decide it's in your best interest to medicate your anxiety, then do it. You know yourself better than anyone.
There are so many ways to alleviate some of the symptoms using natural remedies, without medication, I talk about a few natural social anxiety remedies here, as well as some daily habits for reducing anxiety here.
In addition to watching your diet and getting regular exercise, it also might be a good idea to give essential oils a try.
Here are a few of the best oils for anxiety. I hope they help you like they help me.
I know it's hard to know what company has the best essential oils, so I compiled a list of places to buy them on Amazon so you can get free two-day shipping and have them all in one place.
Lavender
Lavender will relax your whole body.
It's recommended so much because it has such a well known documented calming effect.
You won't have to worry about nervousness or getting better sleep after using lavender. It's also AMAZING for panic attacks, as well as anxiety attacks.
Lavender is great in a bath when you are trying to calm down, or you can put it in an oil diffuser. That's why you see so many lavender scented candles and self-care items.
You can even create a scrub or bath bomb with lavender to bring it into your life.
I add two drops to my wrist and inhale.

Chamomile
Another relaxing and calming essential oil is chamomile. It's not as widely recommended because you need a carrier with it.
This oil helps with your anxiety, worry, and irritability.
Use chamomile when you have trouble sleeping, and you'll feel your body relax. I have a specific set of dryer balls I use on pillows, and one has chamomile on it (one drop is PLENTY) to add some scent to my sleeping area.
Did you see those dryer balls? Because they're so adorable.
Use chamomile if you're having trouble sleeping because you will feel your body and mind start to relax when you use it.
However, it is not recommended to people with allergy problems, so if you suffer from allergies, please use caution. There's nothing LESS relaxing than replacing your anxiety attack with an allergic reaction.

Rose
Rose is an essential oil you can take for stress, anxiety, and depression.
It's safe whether you have allergies, are pregnant or nursing, or even if you are extra sensitive to certain oils. Rose is my go to when I'm pregnant because it's so safe and effective.
As with all oils, just make sure your rose essential oil is properly diluted or mixed with a carrier oil. My favorite carrier oil is fractionated coconut oil.
I love adding a drop or two to a tub and soaking my feet in it.

* Frankincense
* Basil
* Geranium
* Jasmine
* Clary Sage
* Mandarin
* Lemon
* Wild Orange
* Bergamot (keep this one away from your face because it makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight for 12 hours)
* Marjoram
Tips for Usage
This is the brand on Amazon I trust the most, however, you can try lots of different brands to find the one you love the most.
Try making your own blends with these essential oils to help with your anxiety. Trial and error will show you what works best for you. When in doubt, start with Lavender.
My favorite for diffusing is Orange.
During a panic attack, applying oils to your skin directly with a carrier oil will give you the fastest results.
Diffusing necklaces are another great way to have oils right when you need them. Click here to see my favorite, it's an elephant.
Here is my favorite blend:
6 drops Orange essential oil
2 drops Lavender essential oil
3 tablespoons of fractionated coconut oil
This one is for rubbing on your body, I like the roller ball applicators. You don't have to get this one, but you will need a colored glass one if you want it to maintain it's potency.

Thanks for posting this! I use these regularly, especially Bergamot oil for anxiety. Hopefully getting the word out will help, bergamot basically replaced my previous anxiety med. 🙂
That's incredible! I wasn't a firm believer in essential oils at first, I've always been hesitant. But after my tooth broke and I needed instant relief, a friend recommended thieves. I had no idea what I was missing until then. Now if I can find a solution with oils, it's my first step!
I'm glad bergamot helped you!
Thanks for posting this! Great list and I will definitely be trying some new scents. I love Rose scent and it helps with calmness for me.
There's a blend that my company makes called the Joyful blend, I love pairing it with a deep woodsy blend for grounding <3
